Bilfinger & Berger Accused of Bribery in Nigeria

In May 2008, German state prosecutors started an investigation into bribery allegations involving Bilfinger Berger AG in relation to a construction project in Nigeria during the 1990s. The German construction company was accused of paying bribes of millions of Euros to Nigeria's Democratic Party. The alleged payments were made in connection with the construction of a liquefied-gas facility in Nigeria.
