BG Allegedly Paid Bribes in Italy

In February 2007, it was reported that the UK company BG, the exploration and production business spun out of the former state-owned British Gas business, had allegedly paid bribes to gain permission to build a controversial new liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Italy. A current and two former managers were arrested.
