Philips (Dutch) Accused of Bribery in Germany


In August 2006, the Financial Times reported that the Dutch electronics company Philips was under investigation for bribery in Germany. Senior sales staff at Philips allegedly offered "gifts" including watches and business suits worth up to €2,500 to secure extra shelf space in stores.
