BAE in South Africa

In the UK in February 2007, Mike O'Brien the Solicitor General, informed MPs that BAE was under investigation for corruption in relation to sales to South Africa. The investigation is likely to centre on the £1.5bn sale of a consignment of BAE Hawks to South Africa, which has been the subject of allegations since 1999.
