Fraport in Uzbekistan : Corruption Case

In January 2004 it was reported that the chief executive of Fraport was being investigated by German public prosecutors over alleged bribes in connection with a project in Uzbekistan.

Prosecutors in Frankfurt said 11 people were under investigation in the case but refused to give details. The Dollars 19m project, which ended in late 2000, involved Fraport in ordering and delivering ground handling equipment as part of the modernisation of Tashkent airport.
